lost in translation

While in Shanghai, a fellow photographer bought something (I think it was a jacket) at a department store and this is the tissue paper that was used to wrap the item before it went in the bag. There was a lot of “creative” english translation around so I wonder if anyone associated with the store even realized what it said. Another favorite of mine was a beautifully made sign in a large park that gave rules for behavior including, “Barebacked or lying randomly is prohibited in the park” and “No spitting, pissing outside toilet or littering of fruit peelings”.

  1. Gotta love that. And I’ll watch where I pee when I venture to China.
